Definitions

"We", "our" mean Cookware UK ltd.

"You" - yourself or a company on behalf of which you purchase the Goods

"Goods" the list of items that you specified through our web site, phone, fax or e-mail.

The subject of contract

We will deliver the Goods on receipt of you payment as specified below in accordance with the delivery schedule and remittance terms as stated below.  Your order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. The Company reservers the right to reject your order at their own discretion.

Goods

Goods are those listed in your order subject to availability. Every effort was made to make descriptions and images correct however errors are possible in which case you have the right to return such misdescribed products.

Prices

All prices, monetary amounts and charges exclude VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.

Purchase

You can make a purchase in one of the following ways:

• order on-line through the web site,
• telephone, fax or mail your order
• or visit our showroom and order in person.

Ordering on-line: You will be asked to provide some information that we need to fulfill your order. All the information we collect is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. See our Privacy Statement.

If you do not wish to submit your Credit Card details you can choose "Pay by "bank transfer" option or telephone or fax you card detail. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro,Visa Debit and Solo. You will need your 3D Secure password to pass online verification. (Secured by Visa and  MasterCard SecureCode services).

Age Restricted Products

Knives are not for sale to persons under the age of 18. By placing an order for any knife, you declare that you are 18 years of age or over.

We operate a fast delivery service both in this country and overseas.

The above rates apply to orders under 25kg. Additional delivery charges may apply to heavy/bulky items - we will contact you before processing your order.
Stock lines are available for UK Mainland express delivery for orders placed before 1pm.
Our delivery times are approximate and are not guaranteed. See "Delivery Schedule".

Sorry we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Overseas customers.

Delivery cost may vary. We will quote you delivery cost and time soon after receiving your order.

Some products may be covered by parts-only warranty.

Delivery Schedule:

Standard delivery takes normally 3 to 5 working days.

Our working days for shipping are Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Stock lines are despatched the same day if orders placed by 1pm (local time) provided there are no delays in processing your credit card in which case we will contact you same working day if you provided correct contact information. If item is out of stock we will inform you within 7 working days from the order date and give an estimated delivery date.

If we cannot deliver the Goods within 30 days from the Order Date we will inform you immediately and either agree on another date or offer you a refund as appropriate.

The delivery schedule starts from the day we receive full payment for the Goods unless agreed otherwise.

Remittance Terms

Credit and Debit cards, cheques and money orders are accepted for pre payment of your order and this payment is required before we can despatch your order.

Tax Charges

All prices exclude V.A.T. unless explicitly stated.  Carriage is always charged VAT as this service is carried out in the UK.

UK and EEC(Europe). 17.5% VAT is added.

Customers outside the EEC. No VAT is charged. However you may have to pay import duty levied by your country's Customs.

Credit Card Security

We know of no cases of credit card fraud resulting from abuse of our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers taken on a very  secure Barclays Merchant Services website which is very secure and PCI DSS compliant. In addition "3D Secure" card owner verification is used to protect you from unauthorised use of your card.

You may also submit your credit card information via phone, fax, or over through our e-commerce checkout.

Please do not send security sensitive information via e-mail as a hacker can "hi-jack" your message. In this case we cannot be held responsible for Card fraud.

Cancellation Policy

Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your order. Orders may be dispatched same day so please advise us within 12 hours of placing your order if you wish to cancel, after that please see returns policy.

Returns

If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason then you may return it to us for an exchange or refund by notifying us within 7 working days from receiving the product. The 7 working days start from the day after the day you receive the Goods. We will ensure a refund (a restocking fee may apply) is made within 30 days. The cost of the Goods will be refunded, so long as the Goods are unused and not damaged and packaging/labels etc. are still intact. The return postage/courier costs will only be refunded in the case of faulty products.

We do not offer any refunds on any customised/custom-made merchandise except in case of faulty items.

Guarantee

New Goods faulty on delivery will be replaced at our own expense. Defective merchandise will be either repaired or replaced under terms of manufacturer's warranty; please contact us to arrange this. See "Customer Support and Complaints" section.

This Guarantee only covers mainland UK.  Please check with us the warranty availability for your area if the Goods are used outside mainland UK. Cookware UK does not offer any warranty other than the manufacturers warranty.

All electrical, gas and mains connected appliances must be fitted by fully qualified engineers. Warranties will not apply to incorrectly fitted equipment.

All complaints will be acknowledged personally within 5 working days. We will endeavour to reach a solution with you in 7 working days.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998

Other conditions

All prices exclude VAT.

You must be over 18 to purchase kitchen knives.

The Goods remain the property of Cookware UK ltd. until paid in full.

The Delivery Schedule starts from the day of payment.

We will not be responsible for not receiving and hence not despatching your order due to communications problems such as down-time computer systems.

Approved accounts are subject to appropriate English Law.

English Law governs all conditions not covered in this contract.
